Mask Making Supplies for Theatre History Unit!
Help me give my students mask making supplies for our Theatre History Unit so students can use their own creativity during our Greek Theatre studies.
My Students
My students are full of passion and curiosity about theatre arts. At first, they are nervous because they come to me with no background knowledge or training in theatre arts. But when they walk into my classroom, they are in awe!
My black box theatre classroom is a place of wonder, excitement, acceptance, equality, love, learning and theatre magic!
We don't just learn theatre skills...I train and teach my amazing students to be the best people they can be, both onstage and off.
My Project
My students will study theatre history and perform Greek theatre scenes from Antigone. After studying Greek theatre, I would love to give them the opportunity to put their artistic skills to use!
Mask making is a significant component of Greek theatre.
It provided the audiences in ancient times to see and hear and understand the characters. This activity would give my students hands-on experience in designing and performing with a mask. They will use their own imaginations to create one of kind masks that they can take home after the unit. Your support is much appreciated! Bravo! Thank you so much!
